A little background on Chris

Chris had some extra money left over in his college bank account and decided to put it to good use by buying his first guitar. Chris took a few lessons and began to write songs.
Chris' songs have received airplay around the world. His album, 'Out In The Distance' has received critical acclaim including this comment

from Paul Davis, London, England music writer and BBC showhost, 'Chris is a deep-throated tunesmith of superiority vintage as the debut CD 'Out In The Distance' displays. highly polished 'contemporary' country-rock feel. Clearly, he's one that is quickly learning his trade.'

Chris operates out of St. Louis, Mo and has been featured on many TV and radio programs such as 'The Best Of St. Louis Show',' 'Show Me St. Louis,' as well as many live radio broadcasts. Besides the US, Chris has received extensive airplay around the globe including the UK, South Africa, Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Australia, and New Zealand. Chris’s live shows have delighted audiences around the country, and have included top billing at several concerts and venues. Chris was on the first cover of ETC Magazine and has been featured in several music publications.
According to Chris, 'For me, it’s all about the music, and how that music relates to my faith, and to someone who hears it or sees us live. If one of my songs can make a small difference in a listener’s day and possibly their life that really excites me. I am just a singer/songwriter who would love to sit around and do that all day. If someone thinks I'm good or that a song is good, that's great. But, I write because I have to. There is stuff inside of me that only gets out through the music. I have to put it out or I would go crazy if I didn't.'
About Chris's album, 'Out In The Distance,' two time Grammy winning producer, Peter Carson, had to say this. Give it a listen and check it out for yourself. I think the album speaks for itself.'

Chris's songs are about life, life experiences,
and his beliefs.
Chris states,'Writing and playing is my passion and my outlet. All of the songs I have written have meaning to me in some way. There have been a lot of good times and I have been blessed in my life. But, there have been some really hard times that took me so far down, maybe worse than others but not as much as some. It all comes out in my music one way or the other.' Chris enjoys playing when he can at his local church. 'I must say that I have really enjoyed leading worship. I believe it has been good for my music and my heart. It helps me to focus on what is really important. It hold a whole new set of responsibilities toward the right attitude in why you do the music.' Chris has recently hooked up with 3 outstanding musicians called "SweetWater". "SweetWater" and Chris are currently working on a new album to be release in the fall, "New Day."

Before coming to St. Louis, Chris grew up in Cleveland where music is such a big part of life. According to Chris, "The music scene in Cleveland had a huge influence on the rest of the country by introducing so many great artists.
Especially the British bands. One of the last "free-form" radio stations was in Cleveland. A "free-form" station is where the the DJ plays what he wants to play rather than playing off a play list. So, you didn't hear the same stuff over and over and they were always coming up with something new. Cleveland was going through some real tough times and there wasn't a whole lot to do, so people really got into music. My best friend had the best and most complete record collection of anyone I knew. We spent hours listening to music and hangin' out."
When asked who inspired him the most, Chris answers, "The Beatles. I grew up listening to them and I would say they were the most influential. Also, Tom Petty, Neil Young, and David Bowie." And, as of late, Chris's musical tastes have expanded as he has gravitated to a more spiritual style. Several Christian Artists that he likes are, Third Day, Michael W. Smith, and Chris is addicted to Jars Of Clay's vast array of music.
He also says, "My father Richard W Galloway is an excellent musician. Very creative but from a much different time. He plays the sax, clarinet, and the piano. When he still plays old standards on the piano, and he lets me play with him sometimes. His love of playing music and creating inspired me to learn to play and write. He is the real "leader of the band."
